MSU Athletics Midwestern State University Men’s Soccer vs. Dallas Baptist

Cheer on your local MSU Mustangs Men’s soccer team while they play the DBU Patriots at Stang Park. Tickets are only available online, and seating is limited to 50% capacity. So if you’d like to catch an exciting soccer match, mark your calendars for Tuesday, March 23, 2021, at 5:30 pm and buy your tickets early!

Early Release Wednesdays

Need a fun activity for the kids on Early Release days this spring? Head to The Kemp on a handful of Wednesdays in March and April for free art lessons. The classes are drop-in and don’t require you to reserve a spot. The art lesson is for all ages, but kids must be accompanied by an adult at all times. You can stay for however long you like, whether that’s for twenty-minutes or the entire hour. Each week, they focus on different types of media or projects, including paper collage, drawing, watercolor, and more! All supplies are provided, and no advanced registration is needed.

Paranormal Cirque

Halloween is coming early to Wichita Falls. Plan a scary night with friends and catch a performance of the Paranormal Cirque while it’s in town at the end of March 2021. This unique and creepy experience is a fusion between circus, theatre, and cabaret. The show is located under the Clown Castle, the black and red big top tent, and features acrobats, illusionists, freaks, mysterious creatures, and other “normal” Circus elements but with a twist. This show will scare, encompass, amuse, and surprise you. This experience is like no other and one you don’t want to miss.

Learn about the signs of the season with the kiddos on Saturday, March 27th, from 1:30-2:30 pm at River Bend Nature Center. This fun outing includes answering what causes the seasons, a hike observing the signs of the season, planting your own garden, and a pollinator plant. This event is for kindergarten and up and is free to RBNC members.

Bird Walk at Lake Arrowhead State Park

Want to learn more about birds? Join the bird walk at Lake Arrowhead State Park on April 10, 2021, from 8:00 am – 9:30 am. This stroll through the park is great for anyone interested in birds, whether a novice or an experienced birder. The 1-mile walk is taken at a slow pace on level ground over 1-1.5 hours and is led by a Texas Master Naturalist member. The walk’s primary focus is on birds, but they will also stop to take a look at anything interesting. Children are welcome to come along. Just make sure you dress appropriately and for the weather, bring your binoculars and some water. Everyone meets at the dump station, located in the first camping area to the left after entering the park. Park entry fee does apply.

Enjoy An Evening of Improv at the Backdoor Theatre

Have you ever watched “Whose Line is it, Anyway”? Where everything is made up, and the points don’t matter? We’ll catch a local ‘Whose Line’ show in Wichita Falls at the Backdoor Theatre. Plan a fun night out on April 17th for a good laugh. Each show is different, and everything is made up. Tickets are only $12- and is a great date night, girl’s night out, or birthday celebration event. Doors open at 6:30 pm and the show starts at 7:30 pm. The show is for adults 18+ and up.
