Built-in 1885, the Hood County jail was used for both city and county prisoners. 2. Watch A Live Performance at the Granbury Theatre Company

Only 30 minutes south of Granbury is the Fossil Rim Wildlife Center, home to more than 1,100 animals, including 50+ species of native and non-native animals that live peacefully at the 1,800-acre park. You and your family can either take the self-guided tour or guided safari tour and cruise the 7.2-mile drive and observe the many species of animals roaming the grounds. This unique museum is home to an extensive doll collection that celebrates Americana. The collection includes look-a-like dolls such as Clark Gable, Marilyn Monroe, Prince William and Duchess of Cambridge-Kate Middleton, GI Joe figures, Girl Scout dolls, and Madame Alexander’s Little Women dolls. The museum has an uncanny resemblance to a life-sized dollhouse and also offers doll-making demonstrations. The Granbury Doll House Museum is only open Friday-Sunday.

11. Tour The Revolver Brewery 

Check out one of the fastest-growing microbreweries in Texas that is a family-owned business founded by a father and son. Every Saturday at noon, you can tour the brewery and enjoy a beer tasting of the seasonal and staple flavors, or grab a snack and enjoy the many live bands that perform at the brewery’s music venue. Admission for the tour is $10 for every person over 18. The entry includes:
